Indiana folks here. This is a hidden gem! Traveling from Georgia to Kansas we wanted to stop and grab some real southern cooked food - no chains. Jeff’s was the perfect stop. As soon as you walk in it is buffet type style. You get your tray, silverware, and choose your course. They starve you behind glass as you make the hard decision on what sides you must get. Fried chicken, cornbread, mac and cheese, and don’t forget your dessert and sweet tea! We had banana pudding - sadly they had JUST sold out of their peach cobbler. The chicken meat is juicy and holds flavor. The breading/skin has a nice crips which is not too heavy. What I loved was it wasn’t overly salted or peppered, the flavor was great. I am not sure what cheese they used, but that was NOT velveeta, AMEN. Excellent texture and flavor as well. The cornbread patty was unique; it was not something we have had before. Would I have it again, absolutely. Let’s talk sweet tea - the south LOVES their Sweet tea, emphasis on sweet. Be prepared for that sugar to hit. My daughter loves it, but a bit sweet for me. That’s my taste buds though. Banana cream pudding, yes sir!! Fresh bananas, and wafers that were NOT soggy. I don’t know that I can say enough about this place. If you want authentic southern food and GOOD food. Take a tiny detour from 24 and eat here!
First time checking this place out and it was really good. Cost is consistent with other meat and three restaurants, everything was fresh and the staff was extremely friendly. Not a huge dessert person but the strawberry cake is incredible. The owner (Jeff) spent a few minutes talking to us and is very personable.Definitely going back again in the near future.
2:00 must be too late in the day for hot food and my country fried steak wasn’t done still red inside turned my stomach not sure if I’ll even try itagain okra was greasy and coldish and hot water cornbread is like rubber on outside and the other items were not tried because I started to eat steak needless to say 44$ for nothing since we bought food too eat together and was returned money on one dinner so we neither one eat it. So disappointed with everyone saying it is so good it’s disgusting and not paying 44 bucks to get nothing to eat! Jeff’s can enjoy the money but serving raw meat won’t keep you in business. Wished I would have taken a picture.

First time. Not disappointed except too full to have dessert! Flap jack cornbread and green were the best! Recommend if you like REAL food.
Man I love supporting black businesses but this one was just not it… I’m convinced this is one of those places that doesn’t give a ** about delivery orders so maybe that’s where I screwed up…First, beware this is their “Big Juicy Burger” LOL a joke, no wonder there’s no pictures posted anywhere of it. Two pieces of soggy buns and a fat slab of grey hamburger meat.Next, the mac and cheese, I tried my hardest to finish but it was like soupy Kraft with an overwhelming amount of pepper added or something.Lastly, and the peach cobbler :( I ordered the large size and it was somehow only filling and like six bite sized pieces of peaches and NO CRUST. Not even sure how that is possible.I originally ordered two of this item but never got the second one and honestly I’m glad I didn’t.I had high hopes after reading the reviews and I don’t normally post reviews (pretty sure this is the only one I’ve written)But I’m hoping someone sees this who needs to!
